Dry weather is expected across most of Pakistan in the coming days, with rain possible only in northern areas, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s outlook. The rest of the country is set for mainly dry conditions, with Lahore forecast dry at 31-33°C and Karachi mainly dry around 33-38°C.
The coldest readings underline the seasonal shift in the north: Leh recorded minus 4°C, Skardu minus 1°C, Ziarat 1°C and Kalat 2°C. Major city temperatures ranged from Islamabad at 11-29°C and Quetta at 5-25°C to Karachi at 23-38°C and Multan at 17-32°C.
Isolated rain, wind and thunderstorms are expected in Islamabad and Pothohar on Friday, 30 October, while northern hills will stay cold in the mornings and at night. For travellers heading north, the message is to pack for cold mornings even though daytime conditions in the plains remain warm and dry.
