Anthropic files for Nasdaq IPO as ‘ANT’, revealing $16.3 billion in half-year revenue

Anthropic, the developer of the Claude family of AI models, filed a Form S-1 with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on 26 October for an initial public offering, applying to list its Class A shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol “ANT”. The number of shares and the price range have not yet been set.

The filing revealed revenue of $16.3 billion for the six months ended 30 June 2026, up from $1.2 billion a year earlier, with an operating loss of $693 million. The half-year net loss was $80.7 billion, but $72.4 billion of that was a non-cash change in the fair value of convertible notes and related instruments driven by the company’s rising valuation.

By 30 September, more than 11,900 customers each spent $100,000 or more over the trailing twelve months, and more than 1,900 spent $1 million or more. If it lists, Anthropic would be the first AI model developer to go public, and the filing lifted technology shares worldwide, with the Nasdaq rising 0.83% on Monday.
