UPDATE — Dry spell continues across Pakistan, rain possible only around Chitral

Dry weather is set to continue across most of Pakistan, with rain possible only in northern areas, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s outlook. For Wednesday, 28 October, Karachi is forecast at 37-22 degrees Celsius and Lahore at 31-16 degrees, both with no rain expected, while Peshawar is put at 31-15 degrees and Quetta at 23-06 degrees.

The department’s weekly outlook says rain or thunderstorm is likely only around Chitral in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday and Thursday, 28-29 October, while the rest of the country stays mainly dry with cold mornings and nights in the northern hills. Isolated rain, wind and thunderstorm are expected in Islamabad and Pothohar on Friday, 30 October. For travellers, the message is unchanged from recent days: plan the working week without an umbrella in the plains, but pack for cold mornings in the north.
