OGDCL profit jumps 53% to Rs58.5 billion in first quarter, record Rs5 dividend declared

Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has reported a 53 percent rise in profit after tax to Rs58.5 billion for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, up from Rs38.3 billion a year earlier. Business Recorder and Profit reported the results, approved by the board on Friday.

Net sales revenue rose 38 percent to Rs132.4 billion from Rs96.2 billion, helped by higher production and stronger realised prices. Average daily saleable crude production rose 13.3 percent to 35,494 barrels and gas output rose 14.2 percent to 732 million cubic feet per day, supported by four new wells connected to the gathering system. The board declared a first interim cash dividend of Rs5 per share, its highest first-quarter dividend ever, up from Rs3.50 a year earlier.

Forced production curtailments by Sui Northern Gas Pipelines and UPL still cost an estimated Rs9.7 billion in lost sales, though that was down from Rs19.3 billion a year earlier. OGDCL contributed Rs82 billion to the national exchequer in taxes, dividends, royalties and levies during the quarter.
