Qatar offers Pakistanis free 30-day tourist visa on arrival, subject to four conditions

Pakistani passport holders can get a free tourist visa on arrival in Qatar for stays of up to 30 days, subject to four conditions, according to reports on Qatar’s Ministry of Interior facility published on 31 October. The facility also covers Indian and Thai nationals, and the permitted stay depends on the confirmed hotel booking, up to a maximum of 30 days. The four conditions are: a passport valid for at least three months, a confirmed return ticket, health insurance from an accredited company, and a hotel reservation made exclusively through Qatar’s official Discover Qatar platform — bookings on other platforms are not accepted. Business Recorder, reporting a Qatar e-Visa website blog from earlier this month, describes the same facility as visa-free entry for up to 30 days on those conditions. The facility matters because Qatar had earlier stopped visa-on-arrival access for Pakistanis, leaving applications pending for months. Travellers should still confirm the current status with Qatar’s authorities or their airline before booking, since entry rules have changed before.
