FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan has reported a sharp turnaround in the first nine months of 2026, with net profit rising 209 percent to Rs6.46 billion from Rs2.09 billion a year earlier. Revenue grew 10.1 percent to Rs88.36 billion from Rs80.23 billion, while basic earnings per share jumped to Rs8.43 from Rs2.73.
The third quarter alone contributed Rs2.07 billion in profit, up from Rs773.8 million in the same quarter last year, as gross profit rose 34.9 percent to Rs19.42 billion and operating profit grew 53.3 percent. The company credited a better product mix, in-market execution and efficiency gains in sourcing and manufacturing.
The company also flagged an uneven playing field: packaged UHT milk carries an 18 percent sales tax imposed in July 2024, while loose milk stays outside the tax net, widening the price gap and holding back formal-sector volumes. For consumers, the results show a formal dairy business growing despite that tax disadvantage, though the company continues to press for fairer taxation.
