Madushanka takes five as Sri Lanka bowl Pakistan out for 110 in Lahore

Sri Lanka bowled Pakistan out for 110 in 25.3 overs in the fifth match of the ODI tri-series at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday, after winning the toss and electing to field. Left-arm pacer Dilshan Madushanka led the attack with a career-best five for 34.

Pakistan never recovered from a poor start. Fakhar Zaman fell for five in the fourth over, Maaz Sadaqat made eight and Saad Baig five, before Babar Azam top-scored with 29 off 33 balls. Salman Ali Agha made nine, Shadab Khan just two, and captain Shaheen Shah Afridi added a late 15 off 13 balls.

Sahan Arachchige took two wickets, while Asitha Fernando, Eshan Malinga and Dunith Wellalage claimed one each. Sri Lanka were left needing 111 to win. The result is a sharp contrast to Sunday’s thriller, when Shadab’s unbeaten 113 had carried Pakistan past England, and it leaves the hosts with questions over their batting before the final on 31 October.
